I've always been artistic, with a creative flair. I also love helping people, which led me to a career as a cosmetologist right out of high school. Still, I always had a dream of becoming a nurse. I took the scenic path to becoming a nurse as I balanced work, life, and school. I began my labor and delivery nursing career in 2016 and continue to work at the bedside, caring for patients and families.

I am a mother of two young children and work two jobs. Life is busy, but I couldn't fight the desire to fulfill my dreams of owning my own salon.  So, when the opportunity to buy Shears and Accents, the salon I've worked at for two decades, presented itself, I knew I had to take it.

​

Renaming and rebranding Shears and Accents was a big choice for me.  I chose the name Rooted Aesthetics to represent how important my roots are.  The name encompasses the journey of my personal and professional growth, and the importance of moving back to my hometown and starting my own business at the salon where I grew my roots.  Rooted also brings together the floral shop and hair salon.  Both must have roots to grow.  Here at Rooted Aesthetics, we specialize in the art of beautification to include our culture, vision, and services offered.
